About the Event

Hack tHe builD 2.0 is an annual Hackathon organised by Coding Club, IIT Jammu .
This year's Hack tHe builD is a two week long Hackathon where students from various institutes across India will participate and Collaborate along with their team-members to brain-storm solutions for problem statements provided by us. Problem Statements will based upon Defense based Scenarios.

4th Oct - 31st Oct

    Registration of the participants when they submit their ideas in the form of PPT. The team can pick more than one problem statement..

1st Nov - 9th Nov

    Round 1 Results. Top 5-10 teams will be selected in each problem statement and then will be asked to submit the application or the model of the idea.

10th Nov - 13th Nov

    The participants will work on their idea during that time and will submit the link to their GitHub repo.

Within 3 weeks after 13th Nov.

    The teams have to present their idea to the judges panel. If possible, voting can be also there.

How do I register for Hack The Build 2.0?
Anyone can register for Hack tHe Build 2.0 using the Apply with Devfolio button present at top of the page.
Where I can find the Problem Statements?
Problem statements can be downloaded here

How should we form a team?
All team members should be from the same college; no inter-college teams are allowed. However, members from different branches of the same college/ institute are encouraged to form a team.• Each team would mandatorily comprise of (1-5) members including the team leader.

How do we submit our idea?
You will submit your idea details in a document in the form of ppt and upload it while registering for our Hackathon at Devfolio. You have to convert it into a pdf before submitting. Maximum 5 slides per ppt allowed.

What is the selection criteria?
Post Idea submission process, the ideas will be evaluated by experts. Evaluation criteria will include novelty of the idea, complexity, clarity and details in the prescribed format, feasibility, practicability, sustainability, the scale of impact, user experience and potential for future work progression.

What will happen in Round 2?
Top 5 teams in every problem statement will move to the second round where the teams have to build the application within the given time period. Top Teams from each problem statement will be awarded.

When and where is the shortlisted list announced?
Each qualified team will receive notification through email. Overall list will be available on the official website.
